Professional Journey:
Pharm. Dr. Amadi began her career in hospital pharmacy over 15 years ago after graduating from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She later obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree and has since dedicated her career to advancing pharmaceutical care in the hospital setting.
Antimicrobial Stewardship Program Dr. Amadi pioneered the implementation of a comprehensive antimicrobial stewardship program at UPTH, which has resulted in: - 30% reduction in inappropriate antibiotic use - Significant cost savings for the hospital - Decreased antimicrobial resistance rates
Clinical Pharmacy Services She established ward-based clinical pharmacy services in the medical and surgical units, providing direct patient care and medication therapy management.
Research and Publications Dr. Amadi has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in local and international journals, focusing on medication safety, pharmacovigilance, and clinical pharmacy practice.
